As cities grow, dumpsites and landfills that were once ideally located on the outskirts now occupy valuable land. Resources that previously were not economic to, or couldn't be recycled remain trapped. Inroads are being made in addressing the collection and processing of the new waste being generated everyday, but the legacy of past dumping and landfilling practices is largely ignored. Even when closed these sites remain ongoing financial and environmental liabilities to their communities. However, significant social, environmental and economic outcomes can be achieved if these issues are addressed rather than overlooked.
Dumpsite and Landfill Remediation
Using a patented and proven technology, R3Ventures can accelerate the decomposition and stabilisation of dumped waste by approximately 10 times. Once complete the waste trapped in these sites is safe to access and resources that were once considered waste can be recovered, processed and sold. The site is then prepared for future use - reuse, repurposing or redevelopment. Transforming a social, economic and environmental liability into a financially productive and environmentally safe asset.

R3Ventures was birthed through R3con (www.r3con.com.au) which incubated the idea of using industry knowledge, experience, and relationships to empower communities in emerging nations with commercial waste processing solutions.
